2021 Sus Ads Video Challenge

Finalist - Top 10 Entries

"A Push of the Tap"

Script and Visuals by: Tan Sin Chuan

Voiced by: Claire Chan

A video ad competition I took part in 2021 where I had to design a video ad 60 seconds or less talking about what individuals can do towards sustainability in Singapore, under the Green Plan 2030 movement.

With animations illustrating calculations of a large scale I did, I championed saving water in ways that are more convenient and impactful collectively than we think.

My Profile Picture

I designed the rather simple 'TCG' logo as shown below when I was around P4 and they introduced what Photoshop was and the capabilities it offered. Then, I stayed loyal to this logo for about 5 years until I decided last year that it was time for a change.

I ended up creating a silhouette of myself using a photo I'd taken for this before overlaying it with a photo from my Fiji trip. Finally, I put the composite over my old logo, in the idea that I was still loyal to the predecessor, just giving it a new touch.

Minimalism

My work often has minimalistic elements in them as I tend to prefer work that's simpler in nature but still has aesthetic value to them.

The following are some examples of work I've made before that've been largely influenced by minimalism

Colour Splash Photography

I actually never knew what this style was called for years until I made this portfolio

It's one of my favourite styles of photography because of the way its able to bring the viewer's attention to the subject in focus so strikingly yet beautiful. I was inspired several years back when I came across this, so I chose to try and learn this, creating the photographs shown.
