About Myself
Creative work is personal to me, as it reflects my life experiences into something greater than its parts. Seeing myself improve and excel together with the people that I care about is something I live for, and I have the empathy and tact to make it happen.
I critique the status quo, often questioning the norm and looking for new ways to do anything before trying them out, even if it results in failure or embarrassment or both. This means that sometimes I like to express myself in ways that people would consider unorthodox because it's just how I prefer to portray myself to the world.
I honour my responsibilities, striving for excellence in whatever I do to the best of my ability in most circumstances and typically going the extra mile for work I enjoy or see the potential for creativity. With a strong will, I believe almost anything can be achieved, and I strive towards this level of strength.
I seek improvement, keeping an eye out for flaws in my methodology and making changes as necessary. Like anyone else, I'm by no means perfect, but I acknowledge it and make it a point to be better than who I was before I started.
I also prioritise balance in my life - doing interests separate from my work, taking care of my own well-being, etc. Once blindly chasing perfection, I've realised that that was an unhealthy way to live so now I'm on the lifelong journey of improving my mental health and learning how to cope with life's stresses.
Lastly, I honestly just mess around a lot and take life with a light heart as much as I can, messing a few things up along the way. Learning from my mistakes is still definitely important, but I find that it goes a long way to live life in the moment once in a while.
